One of the Premier League's most hallowed, insurmountable records remains in tact despite a recent threat, but how much longer can it stay that way?

Alan Shearer's outrageous 260 Premier League goals over the course of his career has proven to be untouchable since his retirement from the game in 2006.

Wayne Rooney's surge went unfulfilled, Sergio Aguero simply didn't play enough games to form a credible effort, while Thierry Henry – seen by many as the ultimate Premier League striker – left the league for Barcelona and beyond without touching 200.

The last genuine threat was – and remains – Harry Kane. England's record goalscorer has assumed second place in the charts, less than 50 goals away from football immortality, but his bid has been placed on ice.

Kane joined Bayern Munich in 2023, casting doubt over whether he will ever return to England to finish what he started.

There are no other players in serious contention to dislodge Shearer. Three other active players remain in the top 20 Premier League goalscorers of all time, but none of them have time to catch up.

Of course, Erling Haaland has made a stunning start to the challenge, but it's simply too early to tell whether he is capable of the longevity required.

RadioTimes.com brings you the round-up of all-time Premier League top scorers.

How many Premier League goals has Erling Haaland scored all-time?

Erling Haaland has scored 73 Premier League goals in 71 games at the time of writing.

This places him No.63 in the all-time list. Should he score 30 goals in 2024/25, a total he looks almost certain to beat, Haaland will launch himself up to No.39 with 93 goals to his name, leaping just ahead of Kevin Phillips and Mark Viduka.

Another 30-goal campaign in 2025/26 would launch him up into the top 20 with astonishing speed.
